MassCat: Unusual, Unique and Unexpected!

MassCat New Library Enrollment and Training Period

• MassCat has three open enrollment periods in each calendar year. 
• Libraries can be added to the MassCat database only during these enrollment periods. 
• Each enrollment period is thirty-one days long. 
• The Regions should submit library data profile sheets and dataloads to the MassCat Manager early in the month so there is time for new libraries to review their data once it is added to the database.

• Each enrollment period will be followed by a training period. 
• Each training period is two months long. 
• New MassCat libraries will be trained on all MassCat-related functionality:
• Cataloging in the MassCat database
• CatExpress (if applicable)
• ILL in the MassCat database

Enrollment Period #1:

January 1-January 31: New libraries are added to the MassCat database. 

Training Period #1:

February 1-March 31: Training for new libraries is completed.

Enrollment Period #2:

May 1-May 31: New libraries are added to the MassCat database. 

Training Period #2:

June 1-July 31: Training for new libraries is completed.

Enrollment Period #3:

October 1-October 31: New libraries are added to the MassCat database. 

Training Period #3:

November 1-December 31: Training for new libraries is completed.
